A wonderful benefit I’ve gained from this blog, and better yet boats, is that you come in contact with people you otherwise never would have met. Many become friends. Several dear pals. My buddy Kirk comes to mind. We had a long overdue lunch last week. It was good to catch up some.

Another fellow, Terry, and I have email corresponded for several years now. We even talked on the phone when he was building his darling Sooty Tern, Isobel. However, we’ve yet to meet I person, but hopefully our boats will be acquainted soon. A 6 hour drive currently separates us, but what is that among friends?
